Flow assurance

Older or non-producing wells are traditionally treated through a squeeze or pill formulated with a blend of surfactants. Evonik offers a broad line of biodegradable surfactants that have been used for years for the improved oil recovery (IOR) in older wells. These surfactants can lower the interfacial tensions (IFT) and hence support the flow of trapped oil.
